KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood) reported a net loss of RM291.9 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2025, compared with a net loss of RM90.9 million in the previous year.
Revenue fell 36.5% to RM476.8 million, down from RM750.7 million in FY2024. The company said the decline was due to weaker consumer sentiment linked to the conflict in the Middle East, as well as provisions for depreciation of plant and equipment (PPE) and right-of-use (ROU) assets following the downsizing of Starbucks Malaysia operations.
For the fourth quarter, BFood recorded a net loss of RM185.8 million, compared with RM38.2 million a year earlier. Quarterly revenue slipped to RM115.9 million from RM130.6 million, an 11.2% decline.
Loss per share widened to 10.49 sen in FY2025 from 2.16 sen in FY2024.
The group said it is focusing on diversifying into local and overseas markets while restructuring domestic store operations to strengthen its core business. It added that the strategy is aimed at driving growth, improving financial performance and expanding internationally.
